11 Across - "Chap needing transport periodically when on breaks" (6)

19 Across - "Cutting short Scotsman's shirt" (4) I have S-R-

In think this will be SARK which is a Scots work for a shirt and SARKY means sarcastic (cut short to SARK)

Many thanks, John and Malone! Would never have got that SARK, and it makes me wonder why the compiler didn't concentrate on the Channel Isle instead. On the JOHNNY one, I was nearly there, but I was using the alternate letters of another word. Thanks again.

S?O? Assuming the 3rd letter O is correct can only see STOP with dropping WATCH for clock; but can stop = setting?

Any help much appreciated, especially as it's my last one in
