Awful puzzle. Finished, but lots I'm not sure about, and the "Special Instructions" are just wrong for at least one of the thematics.
I thought it would be Abbey Road, but in fact it's not - it's a TV series that started 50 years ago.

The seven clues did all conform to the special instructions. There were several more that related to the theme but which were clued normally.
I got the theme straight away but then I've always remembered the date that the theme started as it's my birthday.

'Noted agreement' is the definition. The 'US' reference indicates that the answer is in the US spelling variant. The cryptic part of the clue is an anagram plus 'the end of quarrel.'
