For some reason I have an extra U and A that I can’t use as part of the hidden items. Is this anything to do with three omitted letters in 5dn?

Two of my omitted letters in 5 D are used in one item, the third in another. I have another U elsewhere, involved in a third item.

I only seem to have used 19 of the 21 letters.

I think (haven’t double checked) that there are only 19 letters. The a and the u at the end of 5d are also in 18a and 21a, so there’s 21 extra letters from the clues which equates to 19 extra letters in the grid.

Strange no highlighting needed. The hidden items presumably just remain hidden!

This weeks inquisitor is certainly worth the effort.

I’ve enjoyed this puzzle and found it to be very worthwhile. It has opened my eyes somewhat. Not that it matters, since we do not need to highlight them, but I’ve only found two of the four, one going across and one going down in the lower half of the grid. I can see a twisted possible five letter one top left quadrant but am I making life too difficult?

There are two Down items and two Across.
