There are some REALLY strange words this week!

I’m stuck on two:

47 down:
Jar on its lid - something often right underneath (6)

The letters I have are - - - G - E

53 across:
Area with which the author’s at home, reflecting his female side (5)

The letters I have are A - I - -. The final letter is the second letter of 47 down.

All help gratefully received!

47 Jangle, jar. J(ar) , first letter/on on its lid/head +Angle, something often right (a right angle)

53a ANIMA

Area = A

Author's at home (reflecting) = NI MA (IM IN reversed)

53 Anima, female side (of your personality, nature etc) A, area + NI MA, reversal of Am In, at home.

PS Yes, this was an odd puzzle in places!
