Crossword completed, but am still short of a misprint for the 3rd letter of who arranged the trip. Can anyone enlighten me please?

Not sure what you mean by "extra letters". There are 11 misprints.

My mistake. Should have said misprints.
I have 9 so far.

I agree with malone that this theme could have been used at some other time.

I have yet to figure out which letter to change but I see the three names.

It is in the bottom row.
