Be glad of a hint how to construct the unclued 11 letter entry on the left-hand side i have the bottom 3 letters as TAM.

Hi don,
If you read the verse in ODQ (or elsewhere) the 4th line explains "what to do" and gives the consequence (after the 3 letter change). Hope this helps but if not post again.

Do you have the quote? There's a big hint in that. Also, the adjoining words can be added to...

Hi again malone, yes all of this weekend's offerings were "up there". I only posted in case it confused don (I sometimes look at things I've posted and realise they may be ambiguous).

thanks - a good bit nearer now - got the 11 letter and changed one letter in row 3 - 2 to find.

solvers must show suitable confidence with their choice by altering three other letters in the grid

I have altered one letter in row 3 and I have entered the non-word so there are no empty cells but I can't see the three other letters to change. Can someone help?
