23a: plain flour = part of Yorkshire (def)
plain flour sounds like plane (fighter) flower (rose)

15d: battles= campaigns (def)
bottles - wine collection; change the "o" to "a"

There seems to be an 'in' missing from the wordplay in 15d between 'old' and 'wine' ?

The 'in' was probably omitted purposely to make the surface reading smoother . A good 'misdirection

Given that the changed vowel is unchecked it's probably more important that the wordplay isn't compromised for the sake of the surface reading in order for it to be a fair clue.
