Another towards the easier end of the spectrum. I enjoyed 14 which held me up for a while until I realised the English and German words contain the same letters - the clue points nicely at the correct choice.

All done except that I cannot parse 10 down. It may not matter as all the letters are checked, one way or another.

In 10d, the mail is a 3 letter term in Bradfords, backwards, around a 3 letter word for "a". I cannot parse 33a. Other than that, rather a mild puzzle this week.

Indeed, very mild. All done before breakfast is a record for me!

Think 33ac parsing is 5 letter for upset plus 2 letter for existence - the extra letter plus the last letter entered.

Sorry, not the missing letter, that's part of upset. So existence must just be the final letter?

It is two letters of a three letter word for upset (minus the extra letter). This is followed by a three letter word for existence.

I succeeded in completing this one - it must be very easy!! my strike rate is no better than one in four. No need to trouble Malone this weekend.

LEVE (archaic alt sp 'lief') is 'dear' + LA(d) all going up.
