Stuck in the N-S middle. Sorry, number of letters is to be deduced. Clue is,
"Thanks! That's got me involved in strong massage technique".

Ten letters: a two-letter word for 'Thanks!', followed by ME 'involved in' (contained by) a six-letter word meaning 'strong' or 'powerful', the whole being a technique used in massage.
