The Times hasn't been delivered to my remote European outpost today, unfortunately. Would anyone be able to send me a scan of the Listener puzzle? A thousand thanks in advance!

Here is a link to a copy in my Dropbox. I am afraid I clipped the title a bit. You can’t shrink the image to fit on an ipad.
A nice puzzle if a bit easier than the usual.

Hi Dylan. 11d has a misprint in the last word. 27d has one in the first word. Hope that is enough of a nudge.

I've filled the grid but have a few queries before moving onto the end game. So, no explicit answers please but......

1a - I think this has a misprint suggesting an anagrind?

12a - I can't see where the second letter of the answer comes from

23a - This works for me with or without a misprint so not sure if there is one

26a - Can't decide if extra word or misprint (based on definition in Chambers)

2d - can't decide which word is extra

So, nudges or confirmers would be much welcomed, thanks.

I've sorted out all my own queries except for 2d where the 'instruction' from the extra words makes it obvious which word to choose but I still can't see what the other word adds to the clue.

Hi, simond9x,

This was explained on the other thread. The second and third letters of 2dn are a northern dialect word that can mean “always”.
