Yes casanova - 'laborious' is the word I'd choose too.

I am really struggling with this one. The clue solving is difficult when I don't know which clues are thematic and which are normal. Perhaps someone might be able to provide a list, but use the "this might contain answers" thread so that others here don't get unwanted help. On this thread, could someone tell me if the country abbreviations are all two-letter, or are some one-letter and others three letter?

I have all the insertions, but the extra in 21dn seems to define two entries, while I can't see which one is defined by that in 44ac

Thanks ginge - but that seems to require the last word from 44a to be the extra, whereas I can only parse the clue without the one before it ?

Hi again phantom, I no longer have the puzzle but do have my worksheet (on the reverse of this week's) and I have;
deep reversed, coins extra.
