finally got 9 across,ROUND : Double defn: 1st: …, as in “… expressed in round numbers”; and 2nd: …, as made by, say, a doctor or a milkman.

Bartender

Bar = save (crossbar) quite common in crosswords

Tender = bid

A bartender would be a source of where you would buy a round of beers

???

That looks like it Shooty, but I think BAR = Save as in Bar/Except/But/Save etc.
