I seem to manage without it quite well ...... apart from the odd clue !!

...It's quite a heavy book - think of the exercise you'd get.

Respect! I do feel that tackling Azed without access to Chambers is akin (figuratively) to fighting him with one hand tied behind one's back...he's not averse to hitting solvers with something like 'die' = 'merge' (AZ 2,432), which is very difficult to verify without using Chambers or OED.

Itsme - and others - sorry about my slip-up! I realised my mistake a minute or two later, but couldn't get to Chambers to check things out. Glad it's sorted!
