I'm not entirely happy with 28 but it's the best I can do - a word plus an abbreviation for the other part of the anagram before the removal indicator is not quite fair in my opinion.

Thanks, Ginge and Drxx. I think everything is more or less agreed now, including the opinion that this was not Ifor’s finest moment. The treatment of the first phrase was clunky, that of the second excellent (though it could perhaps have been flagged better in the preamble), and that of the third phrase was, well, OK.

... sorry, I think you were just giving the swap over of 'it/self' ('it' = 'key point' to the end with 'self' first) + S(pecial).
