After I posted my last message I solved 8ac, 26,10, and 2d, but I'd got 3d wrong and now I see I've got 14ac wrong - I had been starting to wonder. So any hints for 14ac, 3d and 4d would be welcome.

I have a possible answer for 3 down but can see no relationship to the clue. What else will fit ?D?I?Y?

14a is a double definition. Think Goldilocks...

I thought this might be the answer, but didn't know that name for a shark.

This just leaves 3d and I think the word I was thinking of must be the answer but I can't see the untwinned large town.
