Help needed please. Answer is the name of a Greek.

5,2,6 letters. Everyone loves him for his generosity, but when his money is gone those who praised him quickly abandon him.

I have an answer for a question with similar wording - T of A - but cannot find any other, T of A is correct.

Thank you.

Out of interest, Flambelle , what was your other question with similar wording?

Because on the face of it , I am with Cerasus here, in thinking your answer to "Everyone loves him for his generosity, but when his money is gone those who praised him quickly abandon him".
is likely refer to Timon of Athens...
This is a paraphrase of what Flavius said about Timon.

Hi elle,
thanks for answering. Question is:
Known for his great and universal generosity, he spends his fortune and then is spurned when he requires help. 5,2,6.

Goodness, I see your quandary, Flambelle!
The clues are all but identical...…"Timon of Athens" would fit either
description.

I shall have to dig out my copy and see if the original wording is any help.

Like you, I cannot think of a parallel alternative,

I have the quiz but not yet started it, though I should.

Certainly reads like a duplicate so far.

Are you able to get back to the compiler of the Quiz, to query the two clues and whether they might be duplicated, Flambelle?
It might be worth a shot?

Hi Folks,
Following received.

Hi, They do indeed have the same answer, not intentionally , a mistake on my part.
