Right folks, time's up and may I thank you all for taking part today.

I make a total of 24 clues for 13 setters, and many very clever/tricky
ones among them!
Lots to like, and my short list is not that short at all!
I have shortened my initial list and here are the ones I particularly
liked: Djawhufce @2 (once explained!), Paul @14, Aristo @13, Fiery @15, Mattrom @16, Stevea's cheeky @18, Therogue @22,
and finally Skye @20 because I learnt 2 words new to me, and
Nemo for his very tricky @26

Two other clues had be debating for hours, and in the end I very
nearly tossed a coin!

Runner up Therogue @23 for his clever subtractive clue with
French connection - 'mum' for 'taire' had me baffled until the
penny dropped!

Just, but Just, in front is our winner PAUL @6 for his clever and
succinct

Nice one, Paul! Cheers, Pigale, for hosting and for the mention. Watched the beginning of the prize clip. I've certainly heard worse tunes and, definitely, ones that make less sense.

If the ABC of maths had been taught in this way many (many) years
ago, a lot of my friends and myself might have found it more
palatable!
