I just spotted a supplementary clue to pictute clue no.997:

  "This is a picture of Queen Elizabeth II".

Is this a picture of a young Queen Elizabeth 1st.( I come from north of the border where we never had a Queen Elizabeth before).
Also there appears to be some lettering on the image.Is this meant to be there?
I can't quite make it out,old age doesn't come alone.
