A bit more timely.
If you find the grid too small, the 2nd link is for an enlargement.

The parsing of the seemingly extraneous words in November's 26A is still a mystery.

Thanks, syzzie. Most enjoyable. I'm not quite sure about 30 though; the answer I have uses a word for sheet that as a homophone has the same meaning as poll (the word for poll has a double s), but there's no homophone indicator. Perhaps my entry is wrong then.

Hi, Aristo. That was a bit of a workout.
I thought that 30 was one of the weaker clues. My answer was CANVASMAKER but I can't fully justify that either.

That's what I have too, but of course the word for poll is canvass so I don't see how it works.

Do you think perhaps the question mark shows it's a bit iffy?

Enjoyed this puzzle, except for one clue still not solved.

16. Dance, get plastered, at four balls(8)

I have ?A?E?A?K. Starts with T, I think.

It could be Cakewalk. But I have used up the C in clue 4.
A word for weirdo that begins with C.

Where did I go wrong?

Thanks.

I have cakewalk. Get plastered: cake. Four balls: walk. In baseball, four balls is a walk; if there are four pitches outside the strike zone (that aren't swung at, of course) the batter goes to first base.
