How odd! I assume the penultimate letter is the one below square 14 but where is there a G or I anywhere near there? The only G I have around there is the one at the start of 17a.

Orson, I think we must have different representations! Mine involves 4 D, 3 D, 13 A, 14 A, 3 D, 17 A, 14 A and 14 A.

Gotcha, malone. When you said at first that you ended in 14, I thought you meant the 5th square down in the first column. I see now that my TENTFLY (temporary space) for 14a is wrong. I can now enjoy the rest of the day with an untroubled mind. Thanks again.

Please put an old man out of his misery. Thanks to the answer in here for 14 and the line through the shapes to give me the frankly hilarious 17, I have this all but done except 10 and 6 (solved 21 as I wrote this! Realised I had the first syllable of 20 wrong)
