Your letters are correct...the answer is a plural word.

Afternoon all. Love this puzzle, a tribute to a true genius.

I have everything (I think!) apart from the W clue and the bit in the middle of the D clue, and the Y clue. I have WOO--E-, YA--. And the other thing I dont have is the SOED :sulk:

I do not have any quotations dictionary.
But consulted my Brewer's Dictionary and found the quote.

I've finished but I'm not sure how appropriate the perimeter is to the person in the yellow squares.

And although Chambers isn't specified, there are a few answers that aren't in Chambers besides the ones alluded to in the preamble. So it seems a bit odd just to single out the 5-letter A and the Y.
