Somewhat confused in bottom left. 33a: Generation following the rest? One's always glum. It is probably AGE--ST. 25d: Hinny concealing her tail; in tropical trees. Have -HE-S. Can only come up with sheas. Any help appreciated.

Sheas looks kosher as a hinny is a she as(s)?

Thanks-guessed sheas was ok but agelast equals grumpy- quite surprised as Azed is usually so specific. Can't find anything in Chambers to relate.

My Chambers 12th has it on page 26 as "person who never laughs."

'Agelast' is one of the words which were missing from the 13th Edition

That explains it. Surprised as Azed normally refers to editions of Chambers. Anyway problem solved so many thanks to all.
