Why are people even responding to this post?

Apart from the odd follow up prompt for more details wouldn't it be better to boycott such threads?

I did offer a couple of possible answers and so did cerasus. The original poster declined to help us further.
I apologise if my attempt at injecting some humour caused any offence .
I get irked by the lack of information shown by some posters who seem to think we all have access to every puzzle !
