That is why I offered alternatives.

It's a bit odd - I did the Crosophile in the Independent today, and none of these clues were in it. Is the "i" a different crossword? Is it a co-incidence that both were compiled by Crosophile?

Yes. It is unusual to have two possible answers .

Malone recommended the "i" to me. I found it on sale in the larger Tesco

Thanks jazzy. Not surprising that they share compilers, but a bit strange to have different crosswords from the same compiler on the same day!

The "i" crosswords are repeats of old Independent ones, about 4 years old usually!
