Well done!
You were all very good at solving!
I could only do one...and then I discovered it had already been offered!
Maybe Thea will kindly offer more as this was such a success?

Ah, those purple triangular ones in Quality Street! happy memories.

I have put my photo of Mrs T on the noticeboard with my grandchildren's drwings and photos. There is no higher accolade.

hi Ros
I think the triangular one was green ? Purple was my favourite as it contained a Brazil nut.
For those unfamiliar with Thea's previous "Thingies" if you type "thingy" in the search box, they will all appear, back to 2011. I have been laughing like a drain at the November 2011 one.
Which was the "bell" one Ros?

Sorry I don't remember JG. Certainly one of the last and solving it meant stacking the clue answers up and tracing a ringing method (shall we say Grandsire, though I don't remember which) though the tower. Lets say

kaftan
untrue
brandy
merino
client
taster
tomboy
shogun
tenrec
cantor
masque
oxygen
mohawk

If you trace the name of Yorkshire's longbridge through this, one letter per word, it looks like the path a bell weaves when method ringing. Though it won'r be a real method as I didn't then and don't now want to know one!!
Hope that's clear!

I don't recall it at all, Ros, but thanks for going to the trouble to explain. I would not have been able to attempt it !
