Thanks, qesue. The verse is definitely not a well-known one, it was written for the occasion!

No availability of Inquisitor where I am.

What is their website so I can browse.

The last clue for me to check is 30d. Is the third letter A?

Thanks.

Sunray, my answer to 30 D doesn't have A as the third letter.

If you have Inquisitor 1489, you'll have the poem.

Thanks malone. I should have realized that answer in "being qualified to answer" requires E as the third letter.

I see that making a change in SE corner gives me the author.
Now to scan the puzzle to see where the last line could be.
I wonder the other word formed when the change is made for author is the last word of the poem.

Thanks malone.

I see that Senorita in so many words may provide first line of the verse.
I am missing two definition words, somewhere around 19/10 and then around 34/27.
I think I may be able to finish the verse if I had those two.
They are not necessary for the last line.

It's not 19/10, but 12/4 and the other one is correct - but do you need these, if they're not necessary for the last line?

I have 12/4. The definitions do not have to be in clue order to be applied to the verse?
I have used 12/4 in the second line.

I do not have the other one. I think it may be the word "fine".

Can you confirm?

It is the satisfaction of having worked out the verse.

Thanks again for your help, malone.

Sunray, I'm so, so sorry - you were correct with 19/10 and 34/27. I have scribbles all over my sheet and misread my own handwriting. The definitions ARE in order.

Not a problem, malone.

I have 12a, 19a and 27d undefined.
Are there more?
