Hi folks, thanks for your tolerance it turned into quite a session and I wasn't in any state to give due attention to your worthy efforts to a word that I thought would be hard to incorporate a good/smooth surface with a precise definition. I shouldn't have worried as I've now had time to go through all the clues once and my "shortlist" includes chrise 2, 3, skyewalker 4, 5, 19, 29, mattrom 6, 35, 49, fiery 9, seamus 10, 11, aristo 14, dorrien27th 26, 40, paul 34, ixion 39 & the rogue 46.

Touches I really liked include chrise's outdo, skyewalker's pneumonia outbreak & pish-up, seamus's tuppenny, aristo's sculptor and dorrien's finger eextended. Just losing out is dorrien 16 to skyewalker 29
