All finished but there's a few I'm not happy with.

16A Wine or water (7) E?E??NT - I have ELEMENT of which water is one, but where does "Wine" fit?

17A X & Myops agree (5) ??I?E - I have ALIKE. Clearly Myops is "I" but how does "X" fit. I don't think it means clue 10 as 10A is RECANT.

20D Top award. Mark (4) ?C?R - I have SCAR which is a "Mark", but can't parse "Top award".

16 across... could the wine come from bread and wine ....elements in a Eucharistic service????

Can shed some light on 16 and 17a
Wine is an 'element' at communion along with bread and for 17 Myops has his classical hat on X is the Greek letter chi and Myops is me.

Thanks all. I'm now happy with 16A & 20D and have modified my answer to 17A.

I'm not sure that I'll bother to post it this week as I finished it in under 35 minutes (that is apart from 17A of course)!
