Not a vote as I was too wrapped up to get on here, (I am guessing no entry, no vote, or I would have said Steve @ 9), but many thanks to Marty for setting and a very happy and safe festive season to you all.

Like pigale@4, rosalind@13, rossim@15

Vote goes, for it's clever brevity, to les@26

It's blowing a gale outside.

So far 9 out of 12 votes cast and aristo leads ixion by 3 to 2.
steve(9), dorrien(35) and mattrom on 1 each so anyone can win.

ixion, fieryjack and mattrom yet to vote.

Pies made and sherry sampled. Time to try my solid wood cheeseboard (available from an online supplier near you).

Ok folks we're past the deadline, unfortunately ixion and fieryjack have been unable to vote.

We ended on a tie between aristo and ixion's solo entries.

Of the two I slightly prefer aristo @ post#23

And finally I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and thank for your company over the past year.

Congrats aristo. Thanks marty - remind me never to play rock/paper/scissors with you! And thanks for the vote, Paul (and the joke!), thanks for the mention, dorrien, and thanks for the 'virtual' vote, faraday.
