Last one:

32A 'Headless snakes' and 'Slaughter aboard ship', films to avoid (3,6) - O?L ?L?C?S

It has to be OIL SLICKS as LICK inside SS is 'Slaughter aboard ship', but how does OIL relate to 'Headless snakes'; and where does "films to avoid" fit in?

An oil slick lies across the top of the water...and is a " film" to avoid?

Thanks. As soon as I had posted it came to me, although I'm still a bit puzzled about the 'Headless snakes'.

Thanks, that's probably as good as it gets, although 'Headless snake' would be better!

Sorry about the snake mistake. There are a lot of clues to write and I do check them all afterwards. Sometimes one slips through the net.

Have a great Christmas.

Thanks, Zozozo, my cold was obviously worse, a sneeze rather than a sniff.
