with that. Lahore? Why?

I am stuck with 10A Piece taken out of prow's broken spar. (8) and so far I have ???s?r??. I feel it is an anagram, but I cannot get it! Help please

It is an anagram of 'prows' with a 3-letter word for a small piece.

Thanks eirlys. In solving this I have now learned 2 new words 10A and 4D. And also got 1D. There just remains 15A!??? A place in France, perhaps. Will have to get the atlas out.

seeing 2d. Elementary. As for 21a.c., I was working on the
Italian word for job, rather than the, and not using the
English word for it..Good clue.
