I think I am being very dim today. I can work out what the 8th word is, and where it goes (expectedly) but I'm stuck with why St IV has any relevance. I have 5 of the words (and 4 of the definitions) but the other two don't appear in the LM of the remaining clues. So I've messed up somewhere. Is the down word between 3D and 4D a plural, and where is the def?

I am short of some defns and letter counts foir the unclued.... they must be in 14a/15a/20a/26a/27a but I can't spot them... help please

I have the word between 3D and 4D as singular, with the letters coming from "Stinker corrupted" in 20A, although I've not found the definition. I'm still stuck for the eighth unclued word and for the meaning of St IV.

26a has (I think!) the letters for 20d in "report the".

i have no defn for unclued 1d (my answer may well be wrong) with the letter jumble for it coming from 2d ??

I haven't got the across unclued one next to 17a (I've got ?A?TER) nor the 5 letter across unclued one below it .. i have DI?ES for it but can't see a defn or letter jumble for any possibles for ether of them....?

the defn for the unclued bet 3d and 4d is in 27a (unclued is slang for some money)

I think the one next to 17a is the mysterious 8th one. The one below comes from "disreputable clubs" and "votes divided" in 4d and 5d.

i now have the DI?ES with defn in 4d
