Press reader failed to come up with the goods again this week. Luckily we have our ways:

Like ian in the other thread, I still can't make any sense of the answer to last week's 1A. I may have to email The Herald and ask for an explanation.

Finished but puzzling over 26ac. Evangelist eg vel. Beginning to wonder if vel is a typo.

Also can't really see the link between the answer to 28ac and the three other clues.

25 is SAINT. If you remove vel and eg from evangelist :)

Since you have finished is 29 SCHOLARS

SAINT is probably correct but an alternative could be SWIFT as Jonathan Swift was an evangelist & vel could be an abbreviation for velocity i.e. swift. However, that would be a wee bit obtuse even for Myops (or would it?)

PS - I still don't see how COUP was the answer to 1 across last week!
