I'm very sorry as I didn't notice that, Quizmad - but the interesting thing is that in that case there is another answer out of the clue!

There is an anagram from what I gave you (the phrase minus the e's) giving "Norton- juxta- Twycross" a village in Leicestershire.

Look it up on google!

and I find it hard to credit that there could be two answers?
Perhaps the 8 letters is an error?

I don't want anything to do with quizzes, but perhaps the"8" is a misprint for "18"? Whoever typed it might have thought "Can't have an eighteen letter place name" and altered it?
