I don't have ixion & paul's votes, but I think the final result is obvious enough: mattrom is the clear winner with his ingenious New Year's clue. There is only a very flimsy connection between the word & the prize clip: James Joyce seems to have owed his (first, sexual) epiphany to Nora Barnacle (see for instance the Maddox biography of her). And those delicious GOOSE Barnacles plucked from rocks in the Atlantic waves apparently have a delightful technique for catching their prey. If you try this link a 2nd (or 3rd) time you may be able to read all about the amazing misnomer in that short paragraph to the right. So have fun --- it's short but sweet, almost an epiphany in itself......................

Well done mattrom and thanks for the vote.

An original word gk I noticed a mention for the alternative title.

Actually Epiphany comes from the greek ( showing forth )

Kind Regards THEA(O)

Well done mattrom and very well organised GK

Am rather puzzled by
a) the clip, though as a one-time zoologist I like it and
b) the practicalities of aristo's bet
