Seasons greetings! Please help us with last two:
11a 5 this is to 5 today? (4) ?T?S (thanks for the 5=miss)
9a Gave cash over (5) S?E?T
...and we've appreciated confirmation on our guesses but why is 4a TEMPTED?
Thanks in advance.

Lucifer he'd minus chief leaves you with lured which is tempted.

4A - Drop chief from "Lucifer he'd" and you're left with lured: hence 'tempted'.

9A - double definition: gave cash / over.

I thought it was a nice one this week. I'll have to get it in the post first thing tomorrow as it might take a bit longer to arrive this week.
