Can anyone explain how syzygy's "potato" relates to "stocking filler"?

Hi chrise, as syzygy is now unlikely to post before voting opens may I suggest he is referring to the Christmas tradition in some other countries when misbehaving children receive either a piece of coal or a potato in their stocking or shoe (sometimes combined with (a) "nice" present(s) to reflect the year). Perhaps he also has the same cynical/bah humbag attitude that I have and as they are traditionally low value gifts;

cryptically "tat wrapped in crap"?

Syzzie had already told me his clue via email (I also had no idea what he meant by 'Potato' and asked for some clarity) - , here is his reply to me:

Apparently some like to enhance the appearance of their "attributes" by putting a stuffed sock in their pants. Sometimes a potato is used as the filler.
