Thanks jazzgirl for noticing my post.

Not only was the thread removed, but I was banned for posting that link.
As Norah explains, it was thought to be spam.
(I posted the same message on another board without any repercussion).

I hope that the admin changes their process.
Never be too hasty to ban poster for life, when you may be doing something in error.
Just stop them from posting. Not looking.
For almost 48 hours, I could not even look at the threads for the puzzles I was solving.
Now I am "unbanned". Phew!

Surprisingly that same puzzle appeared in a tech site called Gizmodo. They provide valuable information on tech issues. So I had no reason to think that I was doing anything wrong in posting the link.

But I am wiser now and I hope so are Norah and Ash.

Hankir, I read your link on the other forum and downloaded the puzzle with no problem. I emailed Norah when your thread disappeared, to ask why and I also explained to her that it was a genuine puzzle. She had already received your email too

Is it ok to discuss the puzzle here? I've solved the first part that was in the newspaper and got to the next set of questions. There is no prize involved, and it's not a recruitment campaign, so can we compare notes here?

Hi Cloverjo, I'm sure we can discuss it. I've solved the first part and it reveals a QR code, but I don't really know what to do with it - any tips?

What I mean is, do I just need to get a QR code reading App for my phone or is there something more devious going on?

I get it now - I've downloaded an app, scanned the QR code and it's taken me on to the next part of the puzzle.

Sorry for not replying earlier. I think the answer to Q1 is d or f. I have no idea about the others. My first thoughts for Q2 were snooker or the monopoly board, but they don't work.

Apparently, it is to do with snooker, according to people on AnswerBank.

Thanks Cloverjo, like you I've discounted A,B,C and E due to double letters, no. of letters, and first and last letters, but that snooker reference may mean I'll look at them again.
