Thanks very much for all your clues. About parsing: although I can usually parse most of the clues submitted to Clueless and Peer Review there are typically a couple that I don’t understand so thanks very much for indulging me.
I think the clues this week fall into two groups; the straightforward and the downright fiendish and although I am full of admiration for the complicated ones I do favour a simple clue with a good surface and hopefully humour.
So, which one to choose? Perhaps another setter would go for the intricate style of clue but my favourite out of many lovely entries is mattrom’s

I had intended to choose RIFF for this week’s word and chose another recording of Layla for the prize but decided the word was too sparse and would not be favoured by the anagram aficionados; I hope this version of the song fits the bill……
