I regret to say that after I posted on the “peterm” thread I lost the site again. This has been happening for years. I had to stop participating in Clue Chain because it usually took about twenty minutes to post a response. Another problem is that when I open a thread and try to advance to, say, the second page, I get “Web page cannot be displayed”. The glitches are too numerous to list. I have these problems at home on my laptop, desktop, tablet, and iPhone, and with different browsers; I also have them at work with a different internet provider, and haven’t experienced anything like this with other sites. Since there have been times I couldn’t open a YouTube clip here because it was blocked in the US, I thought my problems were related to international traffic control on the information highway, but then ginge and others have had similar trouble across all that water one sees in Boston. I will keep trying, however. It seems that the copy-and-paste issue has been rectified at least. Thanks for your attention to this, Norah.

Aristophanes, I have asked Ash's advice on all your problems. I will get back to you when I hear back from him.

I know he usually advises not to use Internet Explorer as that causes a lot of problems. I use Firefox and have never had any problems accessing the Forum on either laptop or Ipad.

Hi jazzy, thanks for steering Norah in my direction. Good news about copy and paste but my other problems (still) may be as I only have access via my mobile (not an iPhone). As you've probably noticed my participation is much less nowadays but will install Firefox and see if that improves the situation. Thanks again.

Hi Ginge
I can thoroughly recommend Mozilla Firefox. Since I changed to that browser, no problems at all re connecting and posting.
