Did Norah stipulate whether the length permitted was defined by the number of words, or the number of lines?
It seems unfair that Celadon cannot continue, whilst some of the posts on the chatty thread run into 19 lines.

Why can't a long anecdote be split into two or more posts then?

I don't know what the new maximum length is. Splitting should work as a work-round.

A few days ago, there was an "invasion" of foreign spam (over 120 pages with 20 threads per page ) They appeared at the rate of two or more per minute, so action had to be taken to try and remedy the situation.

Further to earlier messages, I know Ash took several measures to keep the spammers at bay, none of which I will discuss here because we don't want the nuisance spammers to read about them.
