You've indicated with your letters and spaces that it's 6-6 but said that it's 5-6!
Which is it, please?

I can't either Elle, it does fit the first half of the clue. maybe the word "on" is missing from the end of the clue?

You may well be correct. I am searching this for a friend. Will have to check the "on" factor plus the word making up where the letter "P" comes in.

Yes, it was.
And ''plants'' (giving us the "P") was wrong. It was ''grafts'' for "works hard, as the nurseryman does."
Also, ON was part of the clue.
Simple. Thanks.
