Thanks for these, Jolan. As always, inventive and delightful.
Here is my stab at them-
1. A kid from Broadchurch, ever ill-behaved (8)- CHEVERIL? (A kid goat – letters are in clue)
2. Fateful WWII flier sent back, unaccompanied, to get all Yalta leaders (5,3)- ENOLA GAY? ( Unaccompanied – alone, sent back – Enola, with leaders of “get all Yalta” gives Enola Gay the “fateful WWII flier” which deliver the Hiroshima bomb)
3. Casanova succeeded in parting a couple (5,3)- LADY’S MAN? ( Lady and man- couple, parted by succeeded – s , gives Lady’s man- Casanova)
4. Warm and dry shelter provides protection for the infantry, for example (3-5)- AIR- COVER? ( To warm and dry is to air, shelter is cover and air cover provides protection to infantry)
5. Bring lame lot to oblivion then blow up without using a Molotov cocktail (7)- BELLINI? (Subtractive anagram of “Lame lot” and “oblivion” without “a Molotov” gives Bellini – a cocktail.)
Thanks again,
AB
