Please, has anyone got to grips with this today? I need a good shove somehow.

I've made a good start - trouble is - i think there are a lot of non words which are making it tricky!

2a,5a, 8a are all normal clues. Others include 27d, 28d, 29d, 1d

I've actually got the 35 end letters highlighted so am trying to work backwards now!

35 end letters? Also, can you help with 1d as that is beyond me. I have ?OT???. Thank you Sudokulover.

35d just a guess - GREP - gp - doctor with re inside
rep = theatre is the defn so G is extra????

Do you have 14d or 28a ?

sorry - misunderstood " 35 end letters" - I mean I have highlighted the required 35 letters.
If you have the top line and the next to bottom line , you should be able to see "what needs to be highlighted"

28a. Impe(i)arl to deck out, adorn
