rusty :Yahoo boo sucks is in Chambers. My early years were spent on my family's pig farm so I have always loved being around these creatures.(one used to come indoors and sleep in front of the fire! ) If I bred any though, they would all die of old age .

'yah- boo sucks' has even made it into Chambers 13th!
I'm multi-tasking - one eye on here and the other on the tennis, which is showing on ITV4 (Freeview 24)
The dog has been abandoned to the garden - no walk this afternoon!

It rather on the next match, JG.!
As I expect it also will be a long one, I doubt she'll get out on another walk this afternoon- no car, you see, so a walk would involve also walking to the fields!

Yes, I saw "yah boo sucks" in Chambers.
Anne B just has "yah boo"!
But she has "pigs" under derision?
I could not find that in Chambers.
Could it be short for "pigs might fly"?
Though that is not really derisive.
I like pigs. I like most animals, except wee yapping dogs!
And I get strange looks from cats.
You were lucky, Jazzgirl, growing up on a farm.
Can't beat the countryside!

I think 'pigs might fly' could be called 'derisive'?
And what do you mean, Rusty, you get strange looks from cats?!
A good match if you were watching the tennis!

rusty I love the countryside too, but my father loved the sea more, so we were uprooted when I was six and moved to Dorset . I still miss living by the sea.
