Hello, Elle,
She WAS collapsed!
A great recovery!
There is no freezer in my fridge.
I do not need one.
Just minutes from my shop.
I made toast at the fire when I was young.
But never owned a toaster.
(I have a slow cooker, though, I am not straight out of the boondocks, you know)
I will see what the girls say!
They are in charge of me for two weeks from Sunday!
My son and wife go on holiday then.

Hi, Rusty!
We made toast at the fire , too, when I was a child!
With a long toasting fork!
I guess toasters came into their own when folk stopped having "real" fires!
I've certainly never had the patience to use the cooker grill for toasting!
I never had the time to stand and watch the toast to prevent it from burning!
I am sure the girls will think it a great idea for you to have a toaster.
So........what are the "boondocks"?
And yes, I know you have a slow cooker!
Where are your son and his wife going for their holiday?
I am sure that Miss O and Miss L-B will "look after you" fine!
Better make sure they don't lock themselves out this time, though!

I have a toaster which can poach one or more eggs at the same time. I find this is a great lunch, especially with the lovely specialist eggs you can buy.

Hello, Elle!
The boondocks (surely they are in your Chambers) are the back of beyond!
Far ahent "the sticks"!
"Down in the Boondocks" was a hit for Billy Joe Royal long ago.
They are going to Florida, USA.
They like it there.
My other son and partner sent me photos earlier.
They had gone up Ben Nevis today and were well wrapped up in anoraks and boots etc.
Huge smiles though, they were pleased with themselves!
The girls and me will have a plan for keys etc.
I have to text them before I go anywhere!
Will be a hoot!

Hello, Rosalind!
I think in the deep recesses of my mind, I have heard of these toasters.
They would be too high tech for me though.
I am a simple person.
I have friends who give me eggs (hens).
They keep quails too, but I do not know if they lay eggs?
A poached egg and toast sounds very tasty!

Good morning, Rusty!
A beautiful day here - nice and "fresh" when out at 8am!
An enjoyable walk!
I have a large pet food delivery coming today - the company is very efficient, and on the morning of the day of delivery give you a 1 hour time slot.
Mine is between 3.15 and 4.15, so I can plan my day accordingly.
It works out well!
I not only hadn't heard of the "boondocks", I don't know Billy Joe Royal either?
(Should I?)
I also hadn't heard of Ros's toaster which can cook eggs, as well as make toast!
I do my egg in the microwave!
Okay, time for a coffee and the crossword now.......

Good morning, Elle!
It is fine here, too.
Just home from cemetery.
Does your pet delivery contain trout for a possible visitor?
I think Billy was a one-hit wonder.
The song was written by Joe South.
You'll have heard of him?
I have a notion that I have heard of Rosalind's machine before.
It sounds familiar.
I forgot to look at toasters, too.
Cemetery flowers took priority!

HI, Rusty!
My planning came to naught!
No crosswords!
At least, there were ...but they were only repeats of yesterday's!
The Times had made another blip and John had received duplications on his ipad!
I contemplated going out to buy a paper...... but decided it was too much effort!
I have been doing some housework instead!
(That would have been done, anyway, but at least I got to it sooner!
All done now...and I have a sense of virtue at work well done!)
Right, I need some fresh air and outside exercise!
I shall take the dog out now, so as to be here later for the pet food delivery.
No, I haven't heard of Joe South, either?

Rusty , the egg doing toasters are not even vaguely high tec. You put one or two slices of bread in. In another part you put water measured using the supplied measure. Break the egg into the supplied little non-stick pan, put it over the water and the lid on. Press the button. The egg is steamed to perfection, finishing when all the water has evaporated, and the toast toasted. I use mine lots
