I have to admit that, whilst living in Paris for a while during the 60's I became too fond of Gauloise cigarettes. When I returned to England, I continued buying them here and my Father nearly had a fit.

Hey Jazzy, where about did you live in Paris - I mean which part? All the students smoked Gauloise because they were and still are - the cheapest.
I am afraid I still am a smoker but I never smoked black tobacco.

Not far from Porte Dauphine, near to Bois de Boulogne.
I gave up smoking soon after . It was a silly phase and I gave up smoking soon after.

The Bois de Boulogne was and still is a very nice place in the daytime, and I would say fairly posh to have a flat/house around there. At night however, it has become (in parts of it anyway) a meeting place for prostitutes, transvesties (not sure of spelling), and couples looking for other couples - if you know what I mean!

On the other hand Sarko used to do his jogging in the Bois every morning - together with bodyguards of course!

I have heard of the sad development of prostitution and the rest. So sad. I just have happy memories of (daytime) walks, and watching marionette shows in the rain, and watching old men playing Boules, and being taken for afternoon tea to a rather posh Hotel on occasions :)
