Hi again Elle,

Yes and no - picked some up myself but friends could not make it that day, so it will wait until Sunday afternoon or Monday - but weather holding so far, so it's OK - we just had a little drizzle yesterday, but nice and sunny today.

My friends are both a bit younger than I and are therefore still at work - both in a supermarket, hence irreguoar hours.

I have some very dear friends of mine arriving from Luxembourg this evening. They are British but used to work at European Parliament, and now remain there because grand-children etc. They also own a little house almost opposite mine, so we see each other quite often, which is very nice - we have been friends since 1974!

Glad you like your car; it sounds as though you have a new toy, (albeit a useful one), which you need to learn how to use. Hope you will enjoy many a long drive in it, and also hope Mr Dog likes it as well!

I don't drive, so all my journeys in the new car will be as a passenger( or maybe a back -seat driver?)!
The dog is a "Miss" - she's six years old, thinks she's coming up two and is very feisty!

We went to the Pine Cone Cafe, on the Christmas tree plantation.
Was grand!. Smashing bacon rolls and nice friendly service! 10 out of 10!
And Miss L Plate even let me pay!
She is now off to get hair and make up done for the school dance this evening.
She had her nails done this morning!

I'm watching the golf - it looks like they are playing on and amongst slag heaps (and that includes the greens). Seriously silly!

Jimmy Walker seems to be striking it well - did you back him? Spieth also looks in control of his game.

Chris, the course looks awful!
No, I have Spieth, Furyk and Fowler, all e/w.
Also have Monty to make the cut (for old times sake!).
The course is built on an old gravel pit, and it shows.
Fowler almost holed in one at a par 4 yesterday for an albatross. Missed the hole by an inch!
He is 11 over though.

Yes, they showed that in the build-up.

Spieth looks to be a very good bet.

Spieth is a fine young player.

Jack Nicklaus speaks highly of him, not only for his golf, but he is extremely polite, too.

Yes - future World No.1 (and possibly not too distant, either).

He does seem to come across very well in interviews, but most of them do - are they coached? Spieth does seem to be genuine, though (unlike, say, Reed!)

I would think their sponsors would insist on them coming over well. The young ones are all very articulated and polite.
Jack Nicklaus said Jordan Spieth calls all the older golfers "sir".
