That is really nice that you still have a lot of family over there - I knew that you had friends in Belfast, as you have mentioned them several times and been over to visit - but not that you still have family in Donegal.
I don't know why I assumed that most of your family had emigrated to Scotland when you did.
An erroneous thought obviously!
My son - in -law still has a lot of family near Cork - where his mum came from. He keeps in regular touch, too. It is good to do so!
I don't have a lot of family left now - my cousin and her family in Blackburn, and another cousin in Devon , and of course the family in East Dunbartonshire.
(I think there may be a few stray "cousins" dotted around that I have never met - my father's family had a rift, and some siblings didn't speak to others.
A sad situation, as family is important).
It was lovely out - the sun shone the entire time!

Family is very important.
I have family and friends throughout Ireland.
Donegal and Mayo, mainly.
And friends in the North, around Belfast.
Hear from them regularly, mainly by WhatsApp.

Co-incidence? I'm originally from Devon, worked in Blackburn for years, and have visited Clare, Mayo and Galway more than once!

Not forgetting Chris, that you sometimes stayed in Worth Matravers on the Isle of Purbeck when we were staying just down the road - we might well have walked past each other!

Indeed, elle - just a couple of nights, though - we were walking to Exmouth.

Actually, as I recall, the campsite was actually at Langton Matravers (just next door). The pub at Worth was one of the best I've visited though (Square and Compasses?)

We rented the same house whenever we stayed there. Took the dog and the cats ,too.
There is an excellent Indian restaurant - I think that might be at Langton Matravers?
Do you know it? We went there with the folk from whom we rented the house.

It was a brand of dried food; good for backpacking, as it didn't weigh much, but not very palatable!
