Hello, Elle!
That is my driving duties done for the day!
Odd about the PayPal thank you?
I like being with PayPal, it makes things easier.
You won't go wrong with an item from World of Books!
They are my favourite book store.
Let us hope that the medications benefit you and your husband. I am sure they shall.
The Times Daily Quiz is a toughie, alright!
4 correct out of 15 does not sound very ambitious, but it is a good score for me. I think I had 3 correct today.
Raining here. This will be the start of the warmer spell.
My friends in Norn Iron have 9 C !

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, very odd about the PayPal, but I went through all the security rigmarole with my card, so I'm presuming it is ok.
I had to go through the paying procedure as a "guest", as I didn't want to open a PayPal account - maybe the payment went through PayPal anyway, even though it didn't actually say so?
As I've never used this PayPal facility, I have no idea how it works?
Does that sound feasible?
I have finished reading my "Duncton Wood" book. I think I judged it a little too early......I have actually quite enjoyed it once I got into it.
It is the first of a series of four (I think), but regrettably I didn't enjoy it enough to follow through and read the sequels.
Now..... I've just got some ointment as I have conjunctivitis in my left eye........I was reading the instructions on how to use it........
1. Wash your hands
2. Remove the cap.
Now why didn't I think of that...........

Quite Elle, they really take us for dummies on instructions and recommendation of most products, whether medical or not.

Glad you finally got some proper medicine and hope you will not develop an allergy. Did you have a word with your Dr re. the other day?

Rusty, the day has remained brilliant throughout - not a single cloud in the sky, but very cold even in the sun. I noticed that the days are getting longer - did not close my shutters until 6pm and it was not dark yet - just getting that way. I noticed even more because of such a clear day.

Back to sub-zero temperatures tonight, and sunny in morning with frost; but due to rain (a bit) in afternoon and temps will rise slightly.
We too are due to reach double figures temps Saturday onward, with some sporadic showers, but the sun should be with us most days.

Hi, Pigale!
I asked the GP for some older antibiotics that are not often prescribed any more, but to which I have always responded well in the past. She thought it worth giving it a go, so we shall see what happens. Fingers crossed!
Still very cold here , I don't think it's due to improve much before Sunday.

Hello, Elle!
I think you have to open a PayPal account first.
If you did not, I am at a loss to explain the message you got.
PayPal is an option to use for many online stores.
I like it.
Temperature appears to be getting warmer here!

Credit card payments on Ebay are processed though PayPal whether or not you use Paypal directly.
I have had stuff (Skype credit) bought multiply through my Paypal account so it is not infallible. Skype paid it all back.
You need a password with punctuation in it, as well as a complex mixture of numbers and letters, and change it quite often.
I have bought several items from China- they take a while to arrive but are great value

Hi, Ros!
Thank you for solving this particular conundrum! I was at a loss to comprehend what could have happened.
I knew that I was being treated as a "guest" and hadn't signed up for an account.
I wonder why that wasn't explained?

Hi, Rusty!
Well, now we know about PayPal, as Ros has very kindly explained the situation.
it was beginning to worry me a bit!
You hear so much of people being "diddled " online, don't you?
My daughters do all their banking online, as of course , do so very many other people! I don't have much money from which to be parted (!) but could never bring myself to risk banking online!
(I know, I'm being a dinosaur again!)
It doesn't feel any warmer here, not to me at any rate. Still fine, though.
Have you got anything nice arranged for tomorrow?

Hello, Elle!
Well, Rosalind's post has helped to unmuddy the water.
I have never had a problem with eBay or PayPal.
If I choose something on eBay, I do a couple of clicks and that is it ordered and paid for, and emails confirming that.
Works very well.
